  Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all. – Psalm Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. – Isaiah Affliction and suffering are a certainty in the life of a follower of Christ. In fact in Philippians describes suffering as a "gift of grace!" As an aside it is clear that trials in the believer's life are intimately related to afflictions and sufferings so there is some overlap in the quotes and illustrations on this page between those three topics.

I think that a lot of our prayers on. [2.] God has engaged for their deliverance and salvation: He delivers them out of all their troubles (v. 17, v. 19); he saves them, so that, though they may fall into trouble, it shall not be their ruin.

This promise of their deliverance is explained, v. Whatever troubles befal them, First, They shall not hurt their better part. Others are in college, and their afflictions are much more severe and more difficult to figure out.

Still others are in postgraduate school, with years of hard affliction behind them and many difficult tests looming before them. The book of Psalms are books packed with deliverance, divine protection, instructions and victory. It is a book of weapon against your enemies. When reading it, it exposes you to some certain mysteries about the dark powers.

Meditating on these Psalms and also using them to pray will bring a peaceful night rest. We are sure that it is given by inspiration of God, though we are not certain who was the penman of it. The Jews, though no friends to Job, because he was a stranger to the commonwealth of Israel, yet, as faithful conservators of the oracles of God committed to them, always retained this book in their sacred canon.

The first (Ezekiel ) simply assumes that they have come with the intention of asking, and discloses the state of heart which keeps them from coming to inquire; and the second (Ezekiel ) points out the worthlessness of their false confidence in.
